PVGoesGlobal: Reimagining Intercultural Learning & Global Student Mobility at Prairie View A&M University

Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) across the United States met challenges posed by COVID-19 pandemic increased social unrest caused George Floyd’s death head on to provide quality instruction support students in out of classroom. For many these institutions, global intercultural efforts struggled as administrators, faculty, staff, pivoted online instruction. Through storytelling, ethnography narrative analysis, this essay describes how Prairie View A&M University (PVAMU) navigated continuing presented reimagining what education student mobility could be. This case study highlights impact intentional collaborations with stakeholders within outside university, development a themed living learning communities focused glocal learning, infusion competencies into core curriculum courses through faculty development. Data indicate gains improved satisfaction programming. By employing framework, PVAMU has demonstrated an HBCU can bring world their when confronted shutdown.
